Karen McCracken, Program Coordinator and Cynthia Morris, Program Director

Welcome to the Web site for the Human Investigations Program, an integrated clinical and translational education curriculum sponsored by the Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Institute (OCTRI). The HIP program aims to meet the needs of clinicians and scientists who are interested in exploring research in their areas of focus.  We have designed this program around the very practical skills and knowledge necessary to successfully conduct clinical and translational research.

Trainees in the HIP program come from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines and many collaborative relationships are formed during their time in the HIP program.  About half of the trainees are junior faculty and half are clinical and postdoctoral fellows. We also have a growing number of graduate students and encourage their participation.   We try to have some fun in the program and allow time for relationships to develop.

I encourage you to explore the Web site and view our different education programs and curriculum.  Please contact us if you have any questions.
