Public Transportation

TriMet bus 8, which runs about every 20 minutes from the downtown Portland transit mall, provides direct service to OHSU. During rush hour only, additional TriMet buses serve OHSU, including 61X, 64X, 65X, 66X and 68.

The Portland Aerial Tram is open. The Tram connects Portland's new South Waterfront neighborhood and the OHSU Center for Health & Healing with Marquam Hill. The upper terminus connects to the Kohler Pavilion and provides easy access to all buildings and services on Marquam Hill. The lower terminus is next to the OHSU Center for Health & Healing, which houses multiple doctor's offices, March Wellness Center, and an Optical Shop, retail pharmacy and deli.

Portland’s streetcar has been extended to service Portland’s South Waterfront. The streetcar stops at the corner of S.W. Moody and S.W. Gibbs, which is across the street and just north of the Center for Health & Healing. Patients and visitors may ride a TriMet bus downtown and transfer to the Portland streetcar. The closest streetcar stop to the downtown transit mall is at S.W. 5th and Market. The streetcar accommodates bikes and wheelchairs. Directions, public transportation, and parking information

OGI by TriMet

There is no direct Tri-Met service to OGI, although there are several public transportation options within walking distance. The Quatama MAX station is a 15-minute walk from the OGI campus. Bus lines serving nearby 185th Avenue include #47, #48 and #52, which connect to MAX at the Willow Creek Transit Center, and #89, which connects to MAX at the Sunset Transit Center.

West Campus by TriMet

To reach the West Campus by Tri-Met, take the MAX train to the Willow Creek station. An OHSU shuttle bus runs between the Willow Creek station and the West Campus at 15-minute intervals during commuter hours (7 to 9:30 a.m. and 4 to 6:30 p.m.). The #47, #48 and #52 buses travel on 185th Avenue from the Willow Creek MAX station.
