Library Space Reconfiguration

The OHSU Library at the BICC is planning to upgrade the computer areas on the 3rd and 4th floors during the 2015 winter break, from December 18th until January 3rd. The current cubicles will be removed and new computer tables with open seating will be installed allowing for greater collaboration and improved electrical and data connections. Stephanie Kerns selected for NLM/AAHSL Leadership Fellows Program

The OHSU Library congratulates Stephanie Kerns, MLS, Associate University Librarian, who has been selected for the National Library of Medicine (NLM) / Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries (AAHSL) Leadership Fellows Program. The Program prepares emerging leaders for director positions in academic health sciences libraries, and is jointly funded by NLM and AAHSL. Since the program began in 2002, twenty-seven fellow graduates have assumed director positions. MINES for Libraries results

The “Measuring the Impact of Network Electronic Service” (MINES) survey, created by the Association of Research Libraries, was administered at the OHSU Library over a 12-month period during 2013-2014. This survey collected data about the demographics of users and their reasons for using electronic resources purchased and licensed by the OHSU Library. David Forero, MLIS, has joined OHSU as the new Technology Director

David recently graduated with a MLIS from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign with a specialization in Data Curation. He most recently served as a System Administrator for the Computation Institute at the University of Chicago.
