"Evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders is incredibly rewarding, as problems with sleep affect many aspects of children’s lives. I am honored to be part of an outstanding team in both Pediatrics and Sleep Medicine at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital."
Biography
Elizabeth (Liz) Super was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She moved from the desert to attend University of Washington for her undergraduate degree. After majoring in biochemistry, she spent a year at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research center working in a lab studying muscular dystrophy. She then moved to Portland to serve at CARES Northwest as an Americorps member. Although always interested in bettering the health and safety of children, this experience solidified her commitment to pursue a career in medicine. She started in the class of 2001 at the University of Washington, School of Medicine. Liz completed her pediatric residency at OHSU. Further interest in multidisciplinary care, and family education lead her to a sleep medicine fellowship following residency at OHSU. She is honored to be a part of the division of general pediatrics, as well as a physician in the multidisciplinary OHSU sleep disorders clinic. When not at work, she enjoys hiking with her husband and two children.
