About me

Bruce Ham, M.D. is a native Oregonian, born in Enterprise. He received his medical degree in 1974 from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He maintained a surgical practice in Idaho and Washington for many years and was a preceptor and instructor with the WWAMI medical program through the University of Washington School of Medicine.

Dr. Ham completed a fellowship in surgical breast oncology at OHSU in 2003 and surgical critical care fellowship in 2005. He currently works in the trauma/critical care section of surgery and is co-director of the emergency general surgery group at OHSU.  

Dr. Ham’s primary interests include surgical critical care, advanced laparoscopic procedures, necrotizing soft tissue infections, rib fracture repair, and rural surgery. He is a co-investigator in several ongoing clinical trials that are accepting patients with rib fractures.
