Biography
Dr. Eckstrom's special interests include promoting active lifestyles as we age and issues relevant to healthy aging in women. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and completed her residency and general medicine fellowship at OHSU. She also received a Master's of Public Health degree at the University of Washington. Dr. Eckstrom was board certified in 1993 and recertified in 2003. She spent nine years as associate program director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Legacy Health System. Recently she completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at OHSU and will concentrate her efforts in clinical care and teaching across the spectrum of care encountered during the aging process. Her personal interests include travel, windsurfing, back-country skiing, gardening, reading and playing the piano.
