Biography
Dr. Jessica Castle joined the Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center as an Assistant Professor in July of 2010. She splits her time between treating patients at the center and conducting research at OHSU. Dr. Castle sees patients with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and general endocrine problems, such as those with thyroid or adrenal diseases. The focus of her research is treating patients with type 1 diabetes using an artificial pancreas system. Dr. Castle graduated in 2000 from University of Oregon's Robert D. Clark Honors College with a degree in Biology. She has been at OHSU since 2000, when she first began medical school. She graduated medical school Summa Cum Laude in 2004, and has subsequently completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology. She also enjoys reading, boating, hiking and spending time with her son Brandon and husband Randy.Â
