Nasal Obstruction Multi-disciplinary Clinic

The Oregon Sinus Center team works closely with the Division of Facial Plastic Surgery to provide comprehensive care for nasal obstruction, which is difficulty breathing through the nose.

Common disorders resulting in nasal obstruction that we treat are

  • Nasal septal deviation
  • Inferior turbinate hypertrophy
  • Nasal Valve Collapse
  • Sinusitis

Nasal blockage, obstruction or congestion are very common problems and can have a severe impact on a person's quality of life. While some cases can be managed with relatively simple treatments, other causes of nasal obstruction can be quite challenging to treat. OHSU doctors from the Oregon Sinus Center and the OHSU Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery combine their skills in medical and/or surgical management to completely address both simple and challenging cases of nasal obstruction. By combining their diverse experience, our doctors are able to provide safe, technologically-advanced, multi-disciplinary care to patients with nasal obstruction.

Your initial evaluation will take place at the Center for Health & Healing where you will be evaluated in our convenient, multi-disciplinary clinic.  After your thorough evaluation, a review of appropriate medical and surgical treatment options will be provided to you.

Please contact our office regarding scheduling appointments. Prior to scheduling an appointment, our providers often need to review chart notes related to the reason you want to be seen in order to coordinate any additional tests they may need in order to make the most of your visit.  In some cases, we will require a referral from your primary care physician.  We would be happy to discuss this with you to ensure we have all we need to expedite the scheduling process.  Please contact us by phone or email to begin the process.
