University Sponsored Health Insurance Plan

OHSU requires students to carry major group health insurance according to their respective program credit hour requirements. This year OHSU has partnered with Aetna Student Health to offer its University Sponsored Health Insurance Plan. Students can enroll themselves, their spouse or domestic partner as well as dependents on this plan. For students with other major group health coverage, an insurance waiver application is available.

OHSU Postdoctoral Fellows are also required to carry major group health insurance.   They are automatically enrolled in the OHSU Post-Doctoral Scholars Health Plan effective 7/1/2013.  Postdoctoral fellows will be able to enroll themselves, their spouse or domestic partner as well as dependents on this plan.  For postdocs with other major group health coverage, a waiver application is available.  For postdoc enrollment or waiver information please contact the OHSU PostDoc Liason by email.
