Duties & Responsibilities: The Oregon Clinic is currently looking for an experienced Lead Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to join a growing program in beautiful Salem, Oregon. Our program was recently awarded a 3 STAR rating by the Society of Thoracic Surgery (STS). The Lead PA will provide both direct clinical care to patients as well as supervisory oversight, training and scheduling coordination for an existing staff of three surgical physician assistants. Clinical responsibilities include pre-operative patient evaluations, H&P’s with documentation, first assistant in operating room, endoscopic vein harvesting, rounding on in-patients in ICU and wards, discharge summaries, and call. Ideal candidates will have 3+ of experience with documented proficiency in EVH, however candidates with General Surgery experience and a strong interest in pursuing CT Surgery will also be considered. New grads with applicable rotations may be considered. This position will work 4 days per week plus call.

Practice Description:  Current practice size – 1 physician. Seeking a Family Medicine physician assistant to join their very busy practice. The clinic offers comprehensive care to people of all ages, providing a full spectrum practice in family medicine. The practice is balanced and diversified, treating newborns through geriatrics. User-friendly EMR, in-house lab. Staff is friendly and supportive. The practice is most interested in someone with friendly and caring demeanor, a desire for a long-term commitment and a sincere dedication to providing the highest quality of medical care through a genuine team effort.

Duties & Responsibilities: Full-time position, 4 days a week. A PA would participate in the management of chronic disease, acute care, minor injuries, dermatology, psychiatry, and basic pain management, congruent with training and competence. Call – telephone only. Very light and consists of only periodic back-up cover for physician as requested, never more than 1 weekend every 2 months, and 1 week night every 1 -2 months. Excellent accommodations in a beautiful, new facility that offers private office space for a PA. Build up to seeing ~ 25 pts a day.
