Practice description: Busy Urgent Care in Battle Ground, Wa (just north of Vancouver Wa) - need 2nd PA to join 3 MD's and PA. Long standing rural practice with loyal patients. We are the northernmost medical clinic in Clark County so provide Urgent/Emergent care to the towns and recreation areas north of us. No call or hospital rounding is required. Some weekend days are required. We have in house labs and digital XRay in a state of the art clinic. Duties & Responsibilities: Our PA's work alongside the MD's and are treated as an equal part of the team. The practice is busy, with multiple procedures, ortho, and a high amount of pediatrics. Practice description: Medical clinic on military installation that handles in and out patients cases. Duties & Responsibilities: Perform routine outpatient medical care, medical board evaluations and minor surgical procedures; interview, examine, assess and manage patients with general medicine and surgical health problems; obtain an adequate history, physical, assessment and develop a treatment plan in a timely and appropriate manner on each patient. Perform physical exam, establish diagnosis, and prescribe treatment regimen for acute minor illness problems; prescribe and dispense medications within the parameters established by the MTF Credentials Committee. Initiate requests for laboratory tests and x-rays, as appropriate. Follow-up of abnormal reports is the responsibility of the ordering provider. All abnormal x-ray and lab reports received on patients seen by the contract PA shall be reviewed by the PA within 24 hours of its receipt. Make preliminary interpretation of radiographic films. Perform initial interpretation of electrocardiograms. Complete the medical and administrative tasks required for the medical board process and become familiar with all phases of Physical Disability, Profiles, Line of Duty Investigations, and Standards for Induction, Enlistment and Retention on active duty. Facilitate patient access to medical care by recommending appropriate referral to other health care providers IAW policies and procedures of the MTF. Participate in staff meetings and conferences as scheduled by the OIC of the work site. These tasks are accomplished in conjunction with routine work. Experience & Qualifications Required or Preferred: Be a graduate of a PA educational program accredited by the Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) on behalf of the American Medical Association. Have and maintain board certification as a physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) without additional education and training. Have and maintain a valid, unrestricted state license to practice as a physician assistant in any state in the United States, District of Columbia or United States territory. Have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiac Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS certification.
