Time Off

Employees begin accruing paid sick and vacation hours the day they start work and, in most cases, can access this benefit immediately. Accruals vary by employee classification and FTE (full-time equivalent). Holiday pay is also provided to employees who qualify.

ONA-Represented Employees

  • Up to 288 hours of vacation per year
  • Up to 96 hours of sick leave per year
  • Up to 64 hours of holiday pay per year

EXCEPTIONS: Must be at least a 0.1 FTE, and not a resource nurse.

AFSCME-Represented Employees

  • Up to 192 hours of vacation per year
  • Up to 96 hours of sick leave per year
  • 8 paid holidays per year

EXCEPTIONS: Applies to all employees except temporary (no accruals) and flex staff (holiday pay only)

Unclassified Employees

  • Up to 176 hours of vacation per year
  • Up to 7.4 hours of sick leave per month
  • 9 paid holidays per year

EXCEPTIONS: Must be at least a 0.5 FTE, and not a temporary employee
