Facilities Usage Policies
Facilities Use Policy No. 08-01-001
1. Institution Program Priority
OHSU programs engaged in activities meeting the missions of the University are given priority over non-University users for University meeting space to facilitate those activities. The University's degree and certificate programs have first priority over classrooms and other dedicated educational space essential to the fulfillment of their degree or certificate requirements. Educational Communications shall maintain a list of classrooms, dedicated educational spaces, and other meeting areas.
OHSU programs include degree and certificate programs, programs directed by OHSU faculty and staff in support of the missions, and Oregon Health & Science University Foundation and Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation and their affiliates. OHSU programs specifically do not include those directed or sponsored by members of the University community, but which are not in support of the missions of the University.
3. Non-University Use
Non-University users may be granted access to University facilities if the facilities are available, and if their use will not negatively impact concurrent University activities, or other University facilities, personnel or infra-structure. A fee will be charged for such access, on a schedule available from University Protocol and Events.
Users promoting programs in University facilities may be required to print and/or otherwise make public a disclaimer of sponsorship or endorsement of the program by the University.
5. Facilities Use Form
All non-University users are required to complete and submit for approval to University Protocol and Events a Facilities Use Form prior to the release of any publicity associated with their event. The Director of University Protocol and Events may, at her discretion, require University-users to submit a Facilities Use Form no later than one calendar month prior to the event.
