Assistant Professor of Medicine
Background
The primary focus of our laboratory is to understand the mechanisms of acute lung injury and ARDS, and in particular the role of mechanical stresses in causing or propagating lung injury.
Selected Publications
"The role of cyclooxygenase-2 in mechanical ventilation-induced lung injury,"
"Mechanisms, Detection, and Potential Management of Microcirculatory Disturbances in Sepsis,"
"Protective role of PI3-kinase/Akt/eNOS signaling in mechanical stress through inhibition of p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase in mouse lung,"
"Oxidized phospholipids reduce ventilator-induced vascular leak and inflammation in vivo,"
