Boilerplate Text

OCTRI provides the following sections of boilerplate text to assist investigators in preparing proposals, grant applications, and manuscripts. To access resource and facilities descriptions for inclusion in grant proposals, contact the Research Navigator Program. OCTRI makes minor adjustments to the text based on each unique grant application.

Letter of Support & OCTRI Cost Estimate

Investigators who are submitting a grant application with specific OCTRI resources must request a cost estimate to include in the proposal budget.

Publication Acknowledgment

A brief statement to include in all publications related to a project that OCTRI has supported with funding or research services. This statement also applies to participants in the Human Investigations Program (HIP).

OCTRI Other Support Information

Information about the NIH/NCRR award that supports OCTRI and the Oregon Scholars in Clinical Research (OSCR) KL2 program for use in the Other Support sections of NIH biosketches.

To access the following resources and facilities descriptions for inclusion in grant proposals, contact the Research Navigator Program. OCTRI works with investigators to update the boilerplate text to match each application.

  • Resources Description– Overall OCTRI Description
    A brief description of the resources that OCTRI provides to the research community.
  • Facilities Description – Clinical and Translational Research Center
    A brief description of the inpatient and outpatient clinical research facilities at the Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC) and laboratory equipment and resources.
  • Resources Description – Educational and Statistical Support for Early-Career Investigators
    A brief description of the biostatistics and educational opportunities available through OCTRI, with a focus on OCTRI's commitment to early-career investigators.
  • Resources Description – Community & Practice Research Program
    A brief description of OCTRI's collaborative work with community organizations, health care practices, and researchers to study how best to improve population health.
