Women’s Health Meets High Fashion
The 4th Annual Nordstrom Fall Designer Preview runway fashion show took place Thursday, July 8, at the Portland Art Museum. The event was a success with more than $54,000 raised for the OHSU Center for Women’s Health. Two hundred guests, from all across the state and Southwest Washington, attended the stylish event.
Co-chairs Barbara Palmer and Carolyn Stanley (shown) along with founding fashionistas Ann Edlen, Linda Hickey, Arlene Schnitzer, Julie Neupert Stott and Nicole Vogel led a committee of 30 women volunteers and successfully created a real “buzz” about the show which led to a sold-out evening.
Attendees got a first look at new collections from top American and European designers at a couture fashion show featuring the elegance, glamour and excitement normally confined to the runways of New York, Paris and Milan. We are grateful for Nordstrom’s continued partnership and commitment to our community.
The 2011 Designer Preview is scheduled for March 3 at the Portland Art Museum and will feature spring fashion for the first time in Portland. We hope you can join us and enjoy the fashion show, cocktail reception and, of course, incredible shopping.
