Biography
Dr. Nolt specializes in caring for children with infectious diseases. Children under her care may be otherwise healthy or already have complicated medical issues. In addition, infectious diseases in children may be commonly encountered or rare. Dr. Nolt has experience and expertise to treat and prevent infections for children from all backgrounds and medical concerns. When not caring for children in the hospital or clinic, Dr. Nolt has an active research program studying tuberculosis. Since tuberculosis remains a top cause of death worldwide (including children), research in this infectious disease is very important. Dr. Nolt is particularly interested in the human immune response against this infectious disease, and ways to improve this response. In her spare time, Dr. Nolt enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys hikes with her husband, and reading to her young daughter.
