- Accepting Patients:
"What I enjoy most about being a physician is the opportunity to get to know each patient, not just for the reasons they came in to clinic but for who they are as a person. It's that personable interaction that is the most satisfying part of my job and I think it helps me better understand how I can best serve the individual patient that day and over time."
Dr. Hopkins is co-director of the OHSU Skin Clinic for Transplant Recipients. The OHSU Skin Clinic for Transplant Recipients provides comprehensive and coordinated care for patients at high risk for skin cancer. This includes solid organ transplant recipients, patients on long-term immunosuppression, and other patients with an increased risk of skin cancer, such as those with a genetic predisposition to skin cancer.
A native of Portland, Oregon, Dr. Hopkins enjoys many of the great offerings of the city and state, including outdoor activities and the arts and music environment. Specifically, Dr. Hopkins enjoys spending time with his family and playing and creating music with his band Patina.
