Biography

Jill provides diagnostic and intervention services for infants, children, and adolescents. She conducts speech and language and developmental evaluations, with a special focus on children with autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and those born prematurely. She also has experience with inpatient feeding and swallowing therapy at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

Jill has advanced training in early language stimulation, diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders, and parent training and involvement. She is particularly interested in the birth to five age range and is a Hanen certified speech-language pathologist. She strives to find individual motivators for children and to make special connections; therapy and interventions usually take place on the floor! Jill also teaches an undergraduate course on speech and language development at Portland State University.

In her spare time, Jill spends time with her husband and two young children, who are teaching her more about language development and social communication than any book ever could!
