Macular Degeneration Center Publishes Online Risk Assessment Calculator
A new online risk assessment calculator that estimates the likelihood of developing advanced age-related macular degeneration is now available. A full description was recently published in the Archives of Ophthalmology, and summarized in Medpage Today.
The calculator combines findings from an eye examination with personal, environmental, and genetic (optional) risk factors in order for an assessment to be made.
