Dean's 1919 Society

March 4, 2010

Members in this society provide essential support at a level of $1,000 or more per year. In addition to our sincere appreciation of your support and the knowledge that you have made a sound investment in the future of nursing, as a 1919 Society member you will receive a special invitation to attend the Dean's 1919 Society Dinner.  The invitation-only dinner is held in an intimate setting where you will have the chance not only to talk with the Dean, but to connect with other leaders in the nursing community.

Reunion

Alumni Reunion Lunch at the Oregon Health and Science School of Nursing's Portland Campus for all classes celebrating a decade or half decade reunion (your graduation year ends in a "0" or "5"). The Class of 1960 is also hosting a dinner at the Chart House restaurant the evening of the 4th to celebrate their 50 year reunion!

2:00-4:00 p.m. Program, to include a presentation by Dean Bleich: "Nursing's Role in Health Care Reform." Followed by a panel discussion and side-show.

4:30-6:30 p.m. Reception

Come celebrate with alumni, friends, and members of the nursing community at Eastern Oregon University's McKenzie Theater & Foyer.

Pasarow Courtyard Dedication

October 19, 2009

10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Come join us to celebrate $1Million scholarship gift in this special ceremony to dedicate the courtyard to Claire Pasarow. Claire's family will be present to honor her memory and dedicate a piece of the Portland campus to her legacy. The ceremony will includes music, poetry, cupcakes and the unveiling of a sculpture created by the honoree.

Puhaty Lecture

5:00 - 6:15 p.m. Reception on the first floor at the OHSU School of Nursing's Portland Campus.

6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Lecture in the Founder's Auditorium (Room 144)

Director of the School of Nursing from 1944 to 1956, Henrietta Doltz Puhaty and her family established this endowed lectureship as an opportunity for professional growth and development while fundraising for the school. Mrs. Puhaty is fondly remembered for her passion for nursing and her many civic contributions to the community of Portland.
