Bib and T-shirt pick-up
- April 12, 8:00 - 8:40 AM at Auditorum/Old Library Parking Lot on the OHSU Marquam Hill Campus (next to Plaid Pantry).
We invite you to join the Oregon Health & Science University Hills for Humanity in its 10th Annual 5K Fun Run and Hike!
The event is partnered with Health Care Equity Week, a multidisciplinary yearly event put on by the OHSU medical, nursing, pharmacy, physician assistant, and dental students that promotes awareness on health disparities, culminating in a free health screening fair and the Hills for Humanity 5K.
For years, Hills for Humanity has raised funds for community safety-net clinics, such as the SW Community Health Center (SWCHC), Wallace Medical Concern, and the North by Northeast Clinic. These clinics are vital in making treatment more accessible to the underserved populations here in Portland. This year we offer a nature-oriented trail-running experience through the hills of Marquam Nature Park, followed by exhibits and booths promoting health, fitness, and overall well-being, with 100 percent of the event proceeds directly benefiting the SWCHC and the Health Care Equality Week Free Health Screening Fair. These are both non-profit organizations that seek to address health disparities within our community.
The course is challenging and hilly, but very rewarding when you finish and a great motivator to stay fit through Portland's rainy winter!
