OB/GYN Medical Student Clerkship

The OHSU medical school curriculum is designed to help students with early identification of clinical interest in an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Our program directly reflects our core values: diversity and excellence in clinical care and education.

In the Obstetrics and Gynecology core clinical course, all students complete a 4-week clinical rotation in obstetrics and gynecology which includes surgery, labor & delivery, complex family planning, and a faculty clinic preceptorship.

We offer robust elective and sub-internship curricula in Ob/Gyn, including Maternal Fetal Medicine, Complex Family Planning, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Labor Management, Urogynecology, Gynecological Oncology, and Advanced Gynecological Surgery.

We have strong, long-term relationships with medical groups throughout Oregon and SW Washington which allows students the opportunity for a dynamic and well-rounded educational experience.

Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty and alumni are actively involved in medical education throughout the four-year medical school curriculum. We are committed to excellence in medical education and provide mentorship that forms a solid foundation for the next generation of leaders in reproductive care.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is very active in research and provides students many opportunities to pursue research both locally and nationally.
