Application Requirements
Appointments to OHSU GME programs are made solely on the basis of the qualifications of the applicants, who must have an MD or DO degree from an approved school of medicine or osteopathy before beginning their training programs. Fellows are selected based on their preparedness, abilities, aptitudes, academic credentials, and communication skills, as well as on personal qualities such as motivation and integrity. OHSU's programs do not discriminate with regard to gender, race, age, sexual orientation, religious preference, color, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
All OHSU employees with patient contact are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, and all OHSU employees are required to pass a background check. Applicants must be able to obtain an Oregon Medical License and pass the required drug screening and background check.
Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellow Applicants must have completed a family medicine, internal medicine, pediatric, or emergency medicine residency program prior to fellowship. At this time, we do not accept residents who have completed their training in PM&R.
Match Registration
Our fellowship participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Specialty Match process. Applicants must register with the NRMP. There are deadlines and a registration fee. Please visit www.nrmp.org for more information.
Application Process
We will begin accepting applications for the 2013-2014 Academic year in July of 2012.

Interview Process
OHSU Sports Medicine conducts interviews during October and November. Although applications are accepted through the end of September, interview slots are limited and often fill by mid-September. Please keep this in mind as you gather application materials and letters of recommendation. Interviews will not be offered to those with incomplete applications, or fewer than 2 letters of recommendation.
