Career Development in Emergency Medicine Research

This program, funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), prepares clinician-scientists for independent research careers and academic leadership roles in Emergency Medicine.

EMERGENCY MEDICINE K12 TRAINING PROGRAM

Oregon Health & Science University offers scholars a 2 to3-year Oregon Multidisciplinary Training Program in Emergency Medicine Clinical Research (NHLBI grant #1K12HL108974).

Although scholar research interests must focus on Emergency Medicine, scholars may come from a variety of clinical backgrounds, including Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Hematology, Trauma Surgery, and Pediatrics, as well as Nursing, Pharmacy, and others.

Scholars will meet standards for appointment at the Assistant Professor level or higher and will have 75% protected time for research.
