Research Interests: Membrane transport proteins in African trypanosomes and Leishmania parasites. Transporters for nucleosides and nucleobases, pyruvate; KHARON1 and trafficking of flagellar membrane proteins in African trypanosomes.

Research Interests: Membrane transporters for glucose and for purines in Leishmania and malaria parasites. Drug development against parasitic protozoa, high throughput screening, phenotypic screens, screens for selective inhibitors of essential parasite transporters, inhibitors of parasite electron transport chains.
