Kickoff time! M.D. Curriculum Transformation retreat Oct. 9
School of Medicine faculty, staff and students are invited to the Oct. 9 M.D. Curriculum Transformation retreat
Sep. 27, 2012
Help shape the future of the School of Medicine’s education mission! Today’s rapidly evolving external landscape – health care reform, changing delivery models and the explosion of information technology – necessitates change for our Undergraduate Medical Education curriculum.
We are boldly moving forward, and Tuesday, Oct. 9 will be a significant milestone for the all-school M.D. Curriculum Transformation initiative. While work has already begun, that day is the official kickoff of the initiative, with a retreat in the OHSU Auditorium from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a reception. View the full agenda on EdNews (OHSU login required).
Please RSVP to the retreat by Oct. 1, indicating your availability for the retreat, as well as your interest in contributing to the creation of curriculum content in the next phases of this initiative.
“We are at the beginning of a multi-year process,” said Leslie Kahl, M.D., associate dean for strategic initiatives and professor of medicine. “The retreat is an opportunity for faculty, students and staff to share ideas and ask questions in an inclusive, collaborative environment.”
Our success depends on your involvement. We look forward to working with you!
