Assistant Directors have primary administrative oversight for directing a Center program or activity. Assistant Directors are appointed by invitation of the Executive Group and may have a term of appointment that correlates with a specific program or project. To be considered for Assistant Directorship, a candidate must:
1. Have a graduate degree in a profession related to health care or health care ethics.
2. Have demonstrated expertise in the program or activity for which the Assistant Directorship is being considered, including, but not limited to:
- Formal education or certification in ethics
Experience in an ethics-related field or activity
3. Have their primary employment in a health care or academic institution (Note: this need not be OHSU).
