OCTRI Research Forum Seminar: Understanding and Interpreting Regression Analysis

This seminar will provide an intuitive overview of regression methods using linear regression models as an accessible starting place. We will briefly show how to run linear models in Stata and discuss in detail how to interpret the results. This seminar will also present and interpret examples of regression models from the literature.  Additional topics will include interpretation of regression coefficients, interaction terms, and dummy variables. Finally, we will discuss how linear regression can be generalized to accommodate different kinds of outcomes, like binary (yes/no) and time-to event (survival) outcomes.
