Oregon Women's Health Network 2016 lecture series

The theme of our 2016 lectures is "Raising Voices: Collaborating for Change in our Communities." Lectures will highlight organizations who have used collaborative and cooperative approaches to improving women's health in areas from the personal and physical, to the political and cultural. Detailed lecture information will be available in the weeks leading up to each lecture.

Breath by Breath

Breath by Breath

The Center for Women's Health and the Department of General Internal Medicine are excited to offer Breath by Breath, a mindfulness-based stress reduction drop-in class. 

Participants are led by a trained instructor in learning to control stress naturally and begin a self-guided meditation practice.

All sessions are held in conference room 13000A, on the 13th floor of Kohler Pavilion. There is no cost to attend.

Every second and fourth Monday from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Every first and third Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Making Sense of Menopause Conference

For many women, menopause comes with physical and emotional change--and lots of questions. The goal of the Making Sense of Menopause conference was to help women understand what happens to their bodies during menopause and to provide the knowledge and resources to help each woman go through the transition in the best way for her as an individual. Global collaboration in Ethiopia

Ethiopia Collaboration
An OHSU team recently returned completed 49 surgical procedures for pelvic organ prolapse in addition to providing educational efforts in family planning and midwifery. This was the first trip in our collaborative relationship with Gimbie Adventist Hospital.
