As Chairman of the OHSU Department of Urology, I am honored to lead an exceptional group of physicians, staff and researchers whose collective efforts have established us as one of best urology programs in the country.  We have a long and rich history as the region’s leader in providing the most current and highest quality urologic care.  Our contributions through new discoveries and the latest research are also numerous.  Yet, while we are proud of our accomplishments of the past, we are even more excited about the future.

Our vision is to become one of the most influential and innovative urology departments in the country.  We do this first by attracting the best and brightest urologic physician-surgeons.  Our faculty members are all sub-specialists who are carefully selected for their expertise in specific domains of urology, and for their passion in providing personalized, compassionate care.  They are expert, high-volume surgeons as well.  Our administrative staff, medical support personnel and mid-level providers are equally important in providing you with the most efficient and highest quality patient experience. 

Through our research efforts, we are committed to developing new discoveries to improve patient care and to address some of the important clinical questions of our specialty.  We actively participate in clinical trials testing the newest therapies, and laboratory research to identify the scientific mechanisms of urologic diseases.  We are also very passionate about our role in training the next generation of top urologists as we seek to establish OHSU urology as the best residency training program in the country.
