About me

Dr. Boston specializes in caring for infants, children and adolescents with endocrine or hormone problems. These include problems with growth, puberty, thyroid, adrenal and any other disorder related to the hormone glands. Dr. Boston also treats both type 1 and type 2 diabetes in children. As a specialist in pediatric diabetes, Dr. Boston takes a developmental and family centered approach to the care of diabetes in children and adolescents. This approach requires multiple diabetes team members specially trained in the care of kids with diabetes. These pediatric diabetes team members are all available at the Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center. Dr. Boston is also very involved with the Gales Creek Camp for Children with Diabetes that offers a summer camping experience for children with type 1 diabetes and their families.

In his spare time, Dr. Boston enjoys spending time staying in shape with a weekly soccer game. He also enjoys traveling with his family and getting away to the gorgeous outdoors we are all blessed with in the Pacific Northwest. And when he really wants to get away for some quality time, he spends time sailing land yachts on the Alvord Desert in Southwest Oregon or on his fishing boat out of Newport. No cell phones allowed.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
