About me

Dr. Stenson is passionate about helping women improve the quality of their lives. She focuses on listening carefully and understanding her patients’ needs as they change over time. She aims to offer informed guidance to enhance health, identify the root causes of any disease, and provide the best treatment possible when necessary.

Born in northern Minnesota, Dr. Stenson recently moved to Oregon from Los Angeles to be closer to nature and family. She chose OHSU as an academic institution that leads the state in medical advances while prioritizing compassionate, loving care for patients.

Her medical interests include teaching, global women's health, integrative medicine, pregnancy care, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, vulvar health, sexual health, and gynecologic health in cancer survivors. She respects the body’s amazing capacity to heal and aims to help her patients heal themselves with love and compassion.

In her spare time Dr. Stenson enjoys hiking, running, yoga, spending time with her puppy and family, cooking, camping, and traveling.

Prenancy and childbirth philosophy:
“I emphasize wellness in pregnancy and advocate for patients to pursue healthy lifestyle practices that will optimize health. I advocate for natural labor and birth, while at the same time appreciating the importance of technology in supporting good birth outcomes.”

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
