Dr. Sautter completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and graduated summa cum laude. He went on to graduate from the University of Michigan Medical School (cum laude) and completed his Otolaryngology residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Head & Neck Institute. He arrived in Portland in 2007 for his fellowship in Rhinology with Dr Timothy Smith, and is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology / Head & Neck Surgery. Dr. Sautter is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Sautter's clinical interests include all aspects of Rhinology, allergy and endoscopic skull base/sinus surgery, including revision sinus surgery, CSF leaks and sinonasal neoplasms. His research interests include genetic mechanisms of sinusitis, tissue remodeling in chronic inflammatory disease, hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT)-related epistaxis, and inverted papilloma.
