About me

Dr. Hatfield’s clinical practice includes the whole spectrum of ob/gyn care, with an emphasis on minimally invasive surgery. Her favorite part of her work is having time to be present with patients. She strives to make time to listen to their stories, learn from their insights, and to partner with them in finding solutions to meet their needs.

She grew up in Berkeley, California and was there for undergraduate education. After a few years spent assisting environmental science research and education in beautiful parts of the world, she attended medical school, and then residency in ob/gyn. She chose OHSU because she wanted the opportunity to teach future health care providers, and wanted to be involved in leading edge medicine.

Dr. Hatfield has been at OHSU for several years and has loved getting to know and care for the thoughtful and informed patients who come to the Center for Women’s Health. She really enjoys reviewing all options for managing clinical problems, and coming to a decision with her patient in a collaborative way. For this reason, she helped establish the Center for Women’s Health Fibroid program. The program offers women with symptomatic fibroids an opportunity to have their case reviewed by a multidisciplinary team, followed by an appointment with Dr. Hatfield to review all possible management strategies.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
