OHSU Primary Care Clinic, Benson Wellness Center

The Benson Wellness Center is a health clinic at Benson Polytechnic High School in Northeast Portland.  Benson High School will be operating at the Marshall Campus for school years 21/22, 22/23 and 23/24.

School-based clinics such as Benson’s offer easy access to health care in a school setting. This helps remove concerns about cost, transportation or confidentiality that might keep young people from getting the services they need.

Patients we treat

Your child’s well-being is our priority. Our dedicated providers and support staff specialize in the development, health and care of children, teens and young adults. We can provide all primary care needs for your child, or we can see your child when their primary care provider is not available.

We see all Portland students and community members age 7-21 regardless of ability to pay. We accept all insurance plans and uninsured patients. School-based clinics such as Benson’s offer easy access to health care in a school setting. This helps remove concerns about cost, transportation or confidentiality that might keep young people from getting the services they need.

Our services

OHSU Family Medicine providers serve as the clinic’s staff. The clinic also includes a mental health counselor, a school nurse and a social worker - staff members provided by the Multnomah County Health Department, Multnomah Education Service District and Portland Public Schools.

The clinic offers wide-ranging services such as:

  • In-person and virtual visits
  • Regular check-ups
  • Sports physicals
  • Primary care
  • Preventative screenings
  • Vaccines and Immunizations, including COVID-19 vaccine
  • Evaluations of common conditions, injuries or illnesses
  • Evaluation and treatment for depression, anxiety, substance use disorders and other mental health concerns
  • Sexual health and education, including sexually transmitted illness testing, pregnancy testing and contraception
  • Nutrition issues
  • Questions about your body, including information about teen growth and development

Registration and appointments

Registering gets your information into the Benson Wellness Center system. This helps us take care of you right away if you are sick or hurt.

To register call 503-494-8505, the process only takes 15 mins to complete. Once registered you can schedule an in-person or virtual visit.
