PANDA Team

Our team of pediatric registered nurses, respiratory therapists and paramedics are specially trained in emergency medical care of critically ill and injured patients from newborn to age 18.

Every critical care transport is supervised by an attending physician who is an expert in transport medicine and pediatric critical care or neonatology. Our attending physician can accompany transports for specific, life-threatening problems, such as airway obstruction, cardiopulmonary arrest, or extreme prematurity.

We use current modes of therapies including Nitric Oxide therapy and High Frequency Ventilation. We intubate in the field as well as in the Doernbecher operating room with pediatric anesthesiologists.  We are also trained in chest tube insertion, needle decompression and I.O. placement.

We transport by ground (ambulance) or air (fixed wing). We contract FAA Part 135 certified air carriers through Life Flight Network and AirLink*.
