OHSU is committed to improving its diversity recruitment efforts. OHSU participates annually in a wide variety of outreach, recruitment and career fairs. These are some of the upcoming events where there will be OHSU recruiters:
June 17, 8:30-10 a.m., OHSU Exclusive Career Fair at Portland Community College (5600 NE 42nd Ave.)
We are organizing this exclusive (no other employers) event at the PCC Employment Market Place. First, we will do a short presentation about OHSU and navigating the application process. Then we will meet with the candidates individually.
June 18-19, 12-6 p.m., Portland Pride Festival, Waterfront, Booth R6
This is our largest annual recruitment event within LGBTQ community. During these two days we will meet hundreds of candidates within a festival of tens of thousands of people.
June 23, 1:30-4:30 p.m., The Hispanic Chamber Employment Fair, Convention Center
In this event we are seeking specifically bilingual talent who are fluent in Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, Mandarin/Cantonese, Arabic or American Sign Language.
June 25-26, Good in the Hood, Lillis Albina Park, N Russell Street &N Flint Ave
Good in the Hood is a multicultural music, arts and food festival. Our recruiters are at this event to seek new, diverse talent.
June 29, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Healthcare Job Fair, Airport Holiday Inn, 8439 NE Columbia Boulevard
This event is showcases healthcare employers across the region.
June 30, 9:15-11:45 a.m., Incight Live Resume, OHSU's Center for Health &Healing building, 3rd floor 3171 &3181 (Rooms 1A and 1B)
Live Resume is a free recruiting event featuring job-ready candidates with disabilities. Candidates prepare an elevator pitch of up to three minutes to verbally present themselves to employers. OHSU recruiters are proactively working with departments to develop a diversity recruitment plan for those positions that are currently underrepresented by minorities, women, people with disabilities and protected veterans. In addition, OHSU actively recruits within LGBTQ community and seeks bilingual talent. Human Resources recruiters work with managers to advertise OHSU job opportunities in a wide variety of professional and diversity focused journals, websites, social media and newspapers.
