2019 PDX Skincare Festival

Join us for the 2nd annual PDX Skincare Festival — a free community event uniting health care and skincare to spread melanoma awareness and education! 

Activities include free services and samples from skincare professionals, free skin cancer screenings, a 5K walk, melanoma patient symposium and more. Brought to you by the OHSU Department of Dermatology as part of the War on Melanoma™.

Skin Cancer Screenings

11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

OHSU and community providers will provide free rapid skin cancer exams and share self-prevention tips. These screenings are by appointment only.

Skincare Service Booths

9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Professionals from various skincare fields will be on-hand to offer free services, samples, tips and info. Examples of professionals/services may include:
  • Massage therapy
  • Esthetician services
  • Hair design
  • Nail care
  • Electrology
  • Body art

AIM at Melanoma 5K Walk & Fun Run

Check-in opens 7:30 a.m. — Walk begins 9:00 a.m.

Walk to honor those affected by melanoma.

AIM at Melanoma is hosting a Steps Against Melanoma community walk in conjunction with the PDX Skincare Festival to raise awareness and funds for skin cancer research. Walk solo, or gather a team! All proceeds will support the Melanoma Tissue Bank Consortium.

Melanoma Survivors to Thrivers Symposium

Join us the Melanoma Survivors to Thrivers Symposium from 11:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., to learn and interact with leading melanoma professionals and others affected by melanoma. 

Whether you are recently diagnosed, are in treatment, have completed treatment, or are a caregiver/loved one of someone with melanoma, this event is for you. Topics will include treatment options, emerging therapies, side effect management, coping, community engagement and more! Presented by AIM at Melanoma and OHSU Dermatology.

Exhibit (OHA/OBMT Skincare Professionals)

We have partnered with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and Oregon Board of Massage Therapy (OBMT) to unite health care and skincare in promoting skin health and skin cancer awareness.

We are seeking OHA and OBMT licensed skincare professionals to host FREE vendor booths at the PDX Skincare Festival.
