Percutaneous Radiofrequency Closure

Microphlebectomy surgery removes problematic or large varicose leg veins. For patients with symptomatic or large varicose veins, microphlebectomy is an in-office procedure that removes problematic veins. Using a local and regional anesthetic, small incisions are made to remove large bulging varicose veins. The length of this procedure can vary based on the number of veins to be removed or if it is performed in conjunction with another vein procedure. Once treatment is complete, the use of compression stockings for two weeks to aid in healing is recommended. This procedure is also covered by many insurance carriers; we would be happy to contact your specific plan for verification.
