OHSU Facial Pain Program
The OHSU Facial Pain Program is a national leader in treating facial pain. This includes orofacial pain (pain from the motor and sensory parts of the trigeminal nerve system) and trigeminal neuralgia (facial nerve pain, also called tic douloureux).
Facial pain can be complicated and have many causes and forms of treatment. The OHSU Facial Pain Program provides you with a complete evaluation, including advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with 3D reconstruction. Dr. Kim Burchiel is a nationally and internationally known expert in surgery for trigeminal neuralgia.
We see patients with facial nerve pain at the OHSU Center for Health & Healing, conveniently located in Portland's South Waterfront District. Our comfortable, state-of-the-art clinic is located on the 8th floor. If you need surgery, OHSU Hospital offers the latest surgical technology, equipment and care. We provide the most advanced treatments in a friendly, comfortable environment.
This is what you can expect of Oregon's only academic health center — the place where healing, teaching and discovery come together. We are pleased to offer you this level of care.
