Welcome to Oregon Health & Science University
New Student Orientation is a 6 hour program on the first day of the term that brings together incoming students from different schools and programs. The orientation experience is interdisciplinary in nature to help facilitate dialogue, teamwork and collaboration amongst students. Exposing students to an interactive approach from the first day of the term helps to promote student participation, foster appreciation and understanding of other disciplines, and model strategies for future health care practice. We are excited about this program as it will orient students to the basic services and amenities available on the Marquam Hill and South Waterfront campuses, as well as begin to prepare students for an inter-professional approach to education.
Please note that New Student Orientation and Information Fair are required for all OHSU students. If a new student has completed all pre-entrance credentials as outlined by their school, their ID badges will be available for pick-up during orientation. Students must present a valid state driver's license or other photo ID to pick up their OHSU ID.

The Information Fair/Social Event is separate from the orientation program and is organized to allow students the opportunity to ask questions directly of student leaders and program directors. This is an informal event that presents students with the opportunity to meet and network with others. Food and beverage is served. OHSU has over 50 student interest groups and student leaders from many of these groups will be on site to talk to incoming students about their mission statements and group activities. Furthermore, representatives from OHSU's Central Services will be available to discuss program offerings and answer questions.
