Jehan Yahya, M.D.

Jehan Yahya M.D.

Dr. Yahya is a PGY-5 resident in the Department of Radiation Medicine. She earned her medical degree at Oregon Health and Science University and completed her internship year at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Alongside her medical degree, Dr. Yahya holds a bachelor's degree in biology and Hispanic studies, with a minor in chemistry from Lewis and Clark College in Portland.

She fluently speaks American Sign Language, Arabic, English, and Spanish, and possesses some knowledge of Italian and Portuguese.

Kim Ohaegbulam, M.D., Ph.D.

Kim Ohaegbulam M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Ohaegbulam is a PGY-5 resident in the Department of Radiation Medicine. He earned his medical degree (M.D./Ph.D.) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his internship year in medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in Forest Hills, New York. Alongside his medical degree, Dr. Ohaegbulam holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical science from the University of South Florida and a master's degree in biomedical science from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

In 2022, Dr. Ohaegbulam was honored with an ASTRO-AstraZeneca Radiation Oncology Research Training Fellowship.

Cymon Kersch, M.D., Ph.D.

Cymon Kersch, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Kersch is a PGY-3 resident in the Department of Radiation Medicine. She obtained her medical degree (M.D./Ph.D.) from Oregon Health and Science University and finished her preliminary internship at Providence Portland Medical Center. In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Kersch holds an undergraduate degree in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Puget Sound and a graduate degree in entomology from Texas A&M University.

In 2021, Dr. Kersch was the recipient of the Department of Radiation Medicine's Outstanding Medical Student in Radiation Medicine Award.

Jason Burton, M.D., Ph.D.

Jason Burton M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Burton is a PGY-3 resident in the Department of Radiation Medicine. He earned his medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine and successfully completed his internal medicine internship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Burton holds an undergraduate degree in biophysics from Brigham Young University and a doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in integrative molecular and biomedical sciences from Baylor College of Medicine.

Colton Powers, M.D.

Powers, Colton

Dr. Powers is a PGY-2 resident in the Department of Radiation Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Dakota, Sanford School of Medicine. Following this, he completed his transitional year at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota. In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Powers obtained an undergraduate degree in biology and microbiology from South Dakota State University with the distinction of cum laude.

Erin Kaya, M.D.

Dr. Kaya is a PGY-2 resident in the Department of Radiation Medicine. She obtained her medical degree from Washington State University, Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. She successfully completed her transitional year at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Kaya possesses an undergraduate degree in integrative biology from UC Berkeley.

Jake Weisberg, D.O.

Dr. Weisberg is an incoming resident in the Department of Radiation Medicine. He obtained his osteopathic degree from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. His earned a bachelor's degree in physiology and neuroscience from the University of California – San Diego. For his transitional year, Dr. Weisberg will train at Spokane Teaching Health Center; Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Adam Eakin, M.D.

Dr. Eakin is an incoming resident in the Department of Radiation Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. He earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of California – San Diego. For his transitional year, Dr. Eakin will train at Hillsboro Medical Center.

Resident research

Our program has a broad and flexible research focus that includes health services and outcomes-based research, clinical and translational research, as well as basic science research opportunities within OHSU community. Our goal is to provide an opportunity to garner a meaningful research experience during the critical years of residency training.  Learn more about what our current residents are investigating.
