Sonja Likumahuwa-Ackman, MID, MPH

Sonja Likumahuwa-Ackman, MID, MPH, joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2011. She is the Research Program Manager for Dr. Jennifer DeVoe's OHSU research portfolio. She manages the DeVoe team staff and coordinates Dr. DeVoe's current and future grant projects. Sonja works closely with OCHIN ( and its research team on Dr. DeVoe's entire portfolio involving health policy, HIT, and social determinants of health. She founded the OCHIN Patient Engagement Panel. Sonja received a Master of Public Health (behavioral and community health sciences) and a Master of International Development (nonprofits and civil society) in 2008 from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research interests include health policy, community health, global health and health and human rights. She is a reviewer for Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine and Annals of Family Medicine.
