Joyce Hollander-Rodriguez, MD

After briefly leaving for college in California, Joyce decided to drag her husband to Oregon and vowed to never again leave. She completed medical school at OHSU and residency here at Cascades East. She and her husband loved Klamath Falls so much that they decided to stay put and she became faculty.

Joyce loves to travel but finds it hard to leave her 50 sheep, 2 horses, 3 dogs, 10 chickens and family.

Joyce’s medical interests include geriatrics and end-of-life care, and she is frequently found harassing the residents about advanced directives and code status. She is Medical Director of a local hospice and is an active member of the hospital Ethics Committee.

She especially enjoys spending time at her ranch with her family amongst their numerous animals.
