Prospective Students

 Industry Connections I Contact Us

Welcome!

The Biomedical Informatics program welcomes prospective students interested in our graduate program to learn more about our specialized tracks in clinical informatics, and bioinformatics & computational biology.

The OHSU Biomedical Informatics Graduate program is preparing the next generation of health and science informatics leaders, led by renowned faculty, cutting-edge research and industry collaboration. The goal of the OHSU Biomedical Informatics Graduate Program is to train individuals for academic, professional, and research careers in the field at the intersection of biomedicine and information technology.

Biomedical informatics is playing a key role in clinical and research areas, and there is great need for both informatics researchers to conceptualize and develop the new applications as we as practitioners implement them. As information technology and computing become more vital to understanding the vast amounts of data that the medical and scientific communities are confronted with, those in all areas of these fields must be prepared to contribute their knowledge, capabilities, research, and understanding.
