MR Kinespring Research Protocol

Revised - 11/2014
Charge as Knee WO

What would Joe do? (WWJD)
This is a research study. The pre-surgical patients just get a routine knee on the 3.0T. Post placement of the kinespring device, the exam is done on the Ingenia only. The device is a metal spring-like object – which is MRI safe – but will cause some artifact in the images.
Room 2 Only - Knee Coil
Sequence   Change Parameters? Change # slices? Coverage/ Angulation Notes
SAG STIR NO NO Angle to the lateral aspect of the knee (as we do on a routine knee)
COR STIR NO NO Angle to the posterior aspect of the femoral condyles (like routine knee)
AX STIR NO NO
SAG T2 NO NO Angle to the lateral aspect of the knee (as we do on a routine knee)
COR T2 NO NO Angle to the posterior aspect of the femoral condyles (like routine knee)
AX T2 NO NO
Lateral Sag T2 MAP NO NO Places in the center of the medial aspect of the femoral condyle (i.e. Right aspect if for Left Knee)
Medial Sag T2 MAP NO NO Places in the center of the medial aspect of the femoral condyle (i.e. Right aspect if for Left Knee)
