Practice Description:  This NP/PA position is to support our KP members seeking addiction medicine services. The role is based out of Kaiser East Interstate but will serve various clinics in the NW region. This is a small multidisciplinary team that works collaboratively.

Duties & Responsibilities:  Provide direct assessment, diagnosis and formulation/implementation of treatment plans. Outpatient responsibilities include histories and physicals, ordering diagnostic labs, studies and medications, screening and treatment when appropriate for co-occurring physical and mental disorders, and making appropriate referrals. Evaluate and manage patients for medication-assisted treatment. Provide inpatient care by rounding on addiction medicine patients during rotating mornings and one weekend per month.

Experience & Qualifications Required or Preferred: • Minimum two (2) years working in primary care or specialty care • Minimum one (1) year of experience treating patients requiring medication assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders • Current Oregon AND Washington state PA license required. License in state where assigned required upon hire/transfer, application for license in secondary state required within 2 weeks of hire/transfer and must be obtained within 6 months • National Provider Identifier (NPI) required prior to employment start date • Prescribing registration required upon hire/transfer • National certification required upon hire/transfer • Graduate of approved PA/NP program or equivalent requirements to meet state licensure • Buprenorphine DEA waiver required.
