Seven awardees selected for SoM Collaboration Advancement Awards

March 21, 2013

In January, the school issued a request for proposals from SoM faculty to fund gatherings such as symposia, conferences, workshops and retreats that advance key initiatives of the School of Medicine’s Research Roadmap. View the announcement in SoM Research Voice.

The RFP met a strategic initiative of the Research Roadmap to support scientific interactions across diverse groups and enhance the ability of OHSU researchers to form collaborative focus groups or consortiums, in the pursuit of interdisciplinary research and innovative funding. See our “organizing for success” series of articles. (Log-in required)

There was significant interest in the RFP, dubbed the School of Medicine Collaboration Advancement Awards, and faculty submitted many meritorious proposals.

For the spring/summer cycle, the school is able to support seven different events, with a total funding amount of $40,000.
