Dr. Druker awarded the Dickson Prize in Medicine

Dr. DrukerBrian Druker, M.D., director of the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and associate dean for oncology, has been awarded the 2012 Dickson Prize in Medicine.

The Dickson Prize is the most prestigious annual award granted by the University of Pittsburgh's School of Medicine. It is awarded annually to a leading American investigator who is engaged in innovative, paradigm-shifting biomedical research.

Dr. Druker will deliver the Dickson Prize in Medicine Lecture on Thursday, Oct. 4, as the opening plenary session for SCIENCE2012—Translation, the University of Pittsburgh's annual celebration of science and research. To learn more, visit www.science2012.pitt.edu.
