September 25, 2013

There are exciting changes underway in OHSU's health education programs to create a workforce primed to lead and deliver team-based, patient-centered care in this era of health care transformation. Are you aware of all that is going on? Want to stay informed about these efforts? Curious about OHSU education activities beyond the Portland metro area?

Get a full download from university leaders at the upcoming annual Oregon Rural Health Care Conference held October 23-25 at Portland's DoubleTree by Hilton.

OHSU Provost Jeanette Mladenovic, School of Medicine Dean Mark Richardson and School of Medicine Senior Associate Dean for Education George Mejicano invite you to join them as they lead a conference session to discuss new and ongoing initiatives to transform health education.

There will be updates on an OHSU rural campus, expanded rural partnerships, the M.D. Curriculum Transformation Initiative and the Interprofessional Education Initiative. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and share ideas at the end of the session.

OHSU's session is October 23, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Oregon Room. Details about the Oregon Rural Health Care Conference are here. (Please note: You do not need to register for the full conference to attend just this session.)

If you are not attending the conference or cannot travel to the session, but would like to still participate, we can connect you via technology. Please contact Cathy Villagomez to be conferenced in during the session.

Keep up with the M.D. Curriculum Transformation Initiative – past, present and future – with a new interactive timeline.
